How long will my repair take?

Some repairs take less than an hour. However many of our repairs are completed in a 2-48 hour turnaround time. We provide the highest quality service you can find, and our expert certified service technicians can repair any smartphone, handheld device, or MP3 Player on the market. If the part is not in stock, we will let you know when it will arrive and then when your cell phone / device will be ready.

Is my personal information safe and private?

We take your privacy very seriously. When we receive your device, we will not access any of your information for any reason. You can password protect your phone if you feel more comfortable doing so, but it will limit our ability to test the functionality of your device after repairs have been made. We cannot guarantee the functionality of all systems if your phone or device is password protected.

Are you an authorized Apple, Samsung or Microsoft store?

Normal Gadgets has been in business since 2012 serving central Illinois customers. We have technicians that are Wise Certified (https://www.wisecertification.com/places/normal-gadgets/), Apple Certified and listed as an Independent Repair Shop with Apple.

The WISE Authorized Service Provider (ASP) designation we received conveys service excellence. It allows service providers to differentiate themselves and demonstrate their commitment to quality. Certification is awarded based on each shop meeting the industry recognized standards defined within the program. Today, the scope of the WISE Certification program includes smartphones. WISE Certification is specific to a repair environment (retail or vehicle). Each location is individually certified.

We have Certified Level 3 Mobile Device Technicians that have gone through our rigorous training before they work on customer devices. We are also the only local repair shop that works on motherboards and solder components such as HDMI ports and capacitors.

  My cell phone wouldn't keep a charge or hold a charge. I took it to Normal Gadgets mid-afternoon they had it diagnosed and completed by end of the business day. I was very pleasantly surprised with final costs. Even informed me of their discounted refurbished deals with free data transfer. I do and will not take my personal electronics anywhere else. DO NOT TRUST KIOSK set ups, you never know where they are from and how long the will be around this area, Normal Gadgets a long and true business here locally. Go there first and only.   Fixed my grandson's Xbox in one day. Works fine. Price was reasonable. Had a few issues. Made an appointment, showed up on time, and was told they had no record of the appointment. Went back the next day just to drop off the controller and thought the lady at the desk knew myself and another gentleman were already waiting, she took allowed another gentleman to cut in front of us, causing me to wait 20 minutes for something that took me two minutes.   This is my honest review at this store. My husband told me to go to this store to fix my cracked screen. Total was about $410 with a screen protector which I don't think it's an affordable price since I could just buy a brand new or used phone with that price but since I have my data in there I asked to fix it. They ask **upfront of $35 in cash or $35 + 5~7?% fee for a card payment.**  so if you don't wanna pay extra bring cash with you!! At pickup I paid rest plus  an uv screen protector I was told that wait time is 6h but after it's been installed other employee said wait overnight which I was very disappointed bc I could have order it from amazon and get it delivered next day with about half of the price... I wouldn't have spend $30 for a screen protector if I knew I couldn't touch my phone till next day... at least the employee seemed very nice and tried air bubbles out of screen twice for me.
***Also after my phone is fixed apps loading very slow but not from internet or wifi problems.. I feel like something went wrong during installation...
I'm not sure how but it's loading slow after I picked my phone up at this store and it's very frustrating me. ***
At least my phone is fixed at end of next day around 4pm... But I feel like I should have just sent it to Samsung for a repair so it would have been cheaper and probably not having the issue I have right now...
But if you want a fast fix this is a good place for you bc they will fix on the same day or next day. if you can wait few weeks repair at the phone company. I'm sorry that my experience wasn't as expected and had to leave a negative review.

  I was really debating if I should post a review or not, however I decided I have to since I’m super frustrated with how the service went. I took my phone in for a battery replacement, when I called it they never informed me it wouldn’t be an oem battery, which isn’t a big deal really. Big deal is that upon replacing the battery, the screen broke, which they then replaced with a garbage screen which is also broken by the camera area so it hasn’t been fixed correctly. The phone now locks itself in my pocket and randomly types and calls people.

 recommends I took my wife’s iPhone in when the charge port quit charging with the cord, and she didn’t think the wireless was charging the battery all the way
I was expecting to replace both the charge port and the battery 
Turns out it just needed a good cleaning and everything now works great… and they wouldn’ take any pay for cleaning it
